Volleyball: Beginner to Intermediate Skills/Drills Level 1

This class offers instruction to new and intermediate players. Students will learn and refine: passing, setting, hitting, serving and blocking. Team skills and systems (6-6, 4-2, 6-2) will be taught (refined for intermediate players) depending on the experience level of students. The class will primarily consist of game-like drills to provide many repetitions. Courts can be split by skill level and modifications of drills will be provided for the varying levels. Drop–in fee of $25 if space is available.

Adult tennis novice

Ages 15+

Iyengar Yoga with Ruchi 

This yoga class is for students new to yoga and experienced students of all levels. Students will learn basic yoga asanas and build further from the foundation rotating between standing poses, forward extensions, back extensions, twists and breath awareness as well as learn some yoga philosophy. Group Strength Training 

This workout is carefully designed to strengthen all major muscle groups and core, using primarily free weights and/or body weight as resistance. Modifications and progressions are shown to ensure everyone is challenged appropriate to their ability. All levels are welcome, and all equipment is provided. Experience this total body workout and realize a stronger, fitter you! $25 drop–in fee.

Joint Point

This class was developed as a posture class for dancers. This is a no pain, no sweat, low–impact exercise form with strong roots in modern dance. Exercises are designed to correct bad posture and its negative effects.

TRX Suspension Training

Menlo Aikijujitsu

Bushin Ryu Aikijujitsu is a martial art system based on the techniques from Japanese Jujitsu, Yoshinkan Aikido and Filipino Escrima. The classical elements of these martial art systems have been modified and adapted to fit the needs of today’s society with many of these techniques used in law enforcement around the world. Students learn techniques of striking/blocking, pressure points, joint locks and submissions as well as the values of: discipline, self-control and respect. Gentle Yoga for Flexibility, Strength and Balance

In this class we will be doing traditional yoga poses and stretches that will help you build strength, tone, balance, and increase flexibility for the entire body including core. Do you prefer to work out in the convenience of your own home when you want? You will learn a home workout routine by using hand weights. You will learn to do safe and effective exercises to help strengthen and tone all muscle groups, as well as increase bone density to help prevent Osteoporosis. An additional benefit can be weight loss as you burn calories up to 24 hours after lifting weights. The class will start with a gentle cardio warm up and end with stretching.

Hawaiian Hula 

The dance of hula expresses life and love, and a fun form of exercise while you "do the hula." Students will learn basic footwork, hula movements, and graceful hand gestures dancing to beautiful Hawaiian mele (song). No handout materials will be available in this course. Mostly Balkan Folk Dancing

Folk Dances of Hungary and Transylvania

This class teaches authentic Hungarian, and Romanian dances. These dances are popular at dance venues throughout Hungary, performed by people of all ages. Menlo Park Chorus

Join your friends and neighbors and have fun singing in the Menlo Park Chorus! The chorus rehearses and performs a wide variety of music. As our skills and repertoire expand, we focus on the sheer enjoyment of singing. The ability to read music is not required nor is any previous singing experience. The audition process is painless and stress free. The Menlo Park Chorus prepares music for at least two concerts per year.

Belly Dance Fusion

Inspired by Egyptian Belly Dance and Persian dance movements. Learn fundamentals of posture, isolations, steps and shimmies. Ikebana
