Halloween Hoopla Parade and Carnival

Decorate your bike, wagon, or scooter, and wear your Halloween costume as our ghoulish parade struts through downtown Menlo Park on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The costume parade will depart at 11 a.m. from the parking lot behind Cheeky Monkey. Parade participants should arrive 15 minutes early to prepare. Trick-or-treaters receive a free trick-or-treat bag to use at participating downtown Menlo Park stores.

Attendees will enjoy Halloween-inspired carnival games, jumpers, prizes, candy, balloon and tattoo artists, performances from Menlo Park school bands, and a craft table generously provided by Cheeky Monkey. Photo opportunities abound with our multiple Halloween backdrops, a touch-a-truck ambulance courtesy of American Medical Response, and a spooky vehicle  from our Public Works fleet!

And be sure to catch the 12:30 p.m. magic show on the Fremont Park stage by Dan Chan Presents, a captivating mix of jaw-dropping magic, juggling, and fun that will entertain audiences of all ages!

Parade Details

Parade participants should arrive by 10:45 a.m. to Parking Lot #1 (the Maloney Street parking lot).

Trunk-or-Treat

Join in the fun at Belle Haven Community Campus for the return of our family favorite Trunk-or-Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.!

Trunk-or-Treat is a safe and fun way for children in our community to enjoy Halloween. Instead of going door-to-door, kids will go from car-to-car, with each vehicle’s trunk decorated in a creative and festive Halloween theme. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring joy to children and families while fostering community spirit.

Trunk-or-treaters will receive a free trick-or-treat bag.  There will be candy, music and fun for all.
