Summer Reading Game

Discover great books, experience community activities, and track your summer reading to earn incentive prizes donated by Friends of Menlo Park Library. The Summer Reading Game runs June-August and is open to all ages.

Multiple studies have shown that reading for fun helps children retain and improve their reading proficiency during the summer months when they are away from the classroom and not participating in formal literacy programs. Libraries across the nation host the Summer Reading Game to encourage reading and having fun!
