Menlo Park Senior Center

Serving active older adults ages 60+ years, Menlo Park Senior Center operates Monday to Friday, morning to lunchtime, and is based at the Belle Haven Community Campus at 100 Terminal Ave. A diverse range of services are available to older adult Menlo Park residents, including:

  • Nutritionally balanced meals
  • Health, recreational, social, cultural and educational programs
  • Opportunities for socializing and fun
  • Door-to-door local transportation services.

For active older adults ages 60+ years: Check out the lunch menu at Menlo Park Senior Center. Freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals are paired with health, recreation, dance, creative arts, educational programs, and opportunities for conversation and fun! Suggested donation is $2.50. Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 12:00 noon.

Community member celebrates 101st birthday

Happy birthday to Mr. Duncan McQuarrie! We celebrated his 101st birthday at Menlo Park Senior Center. He has lived in Menlo Park for 43 years.

Biography

Here is a small bio of Mr. Duncan McQuarrie. 
Below is his picture. We celebrated his 101st birthday here in the Menlo Park Senior Center.
He was born in Canada on November 4, 1923.
His favorite pets are cats, dogs, and horses.
He was very athletic his whole life. Swimming was among his top favorites and he swam until he was 88 years old.
He was a veteran, and served in the Canadian Royal Air Force in 1943.
He came to the United States in 1947.
He studied as a pharmacist at USC in 1953.
His wife passed away in 2015.
He has four proud children and seven grandchildren.
