Teach a recreation class - contract instructors

The City of Menlo Park seeks qualified and experienced local instructors to teach recreation classes in City facilities on a seasonal basis. Instructors are qualified independent contractors who in some cases may receive compensation for their services through a contract with the City. Interested and qualified local instructors are encouraged to submit a contract instructor interest form describing their qualifications and experience and providing a description of the proposed class for consideration.

Contract instructors:

  • Enjoy the experience of teaching others about topics they are passionate and knowledgeable about
  • Have a large amount of control over their schedule, contributing to a happy work-life balance
  • Meet students who have an active interest in what the instructor is teaching
  • Earn extra income
