Current status

The 2025 Street Resurfacing project (Project) is part of the City’s Five-Year street maintenance program and generally includes asphalt resurfacing, signing and striping, and minor concrete work within the public right of way. A map of the proposed street resurfacing locations(PDF, 938KB) is available for reference.

On March 25, the City Council awarded the Project's construction contract to Teichert Construction (Teichert). To date, the contractor has completed sidewalk repairs and installation of accessible curb ramps and gutters. The fourteen streets proposed for resurfacing are tentatively scheduled from mid-July to mid-August (with signing and stripping work commencing thereafter).

Please note that the following streets will be repaved before the upcoming school year at Menlo Atherton High School.

July 21 and 22 (Monday to Tuesday)
Woodland Avenue from Willows Market Driveway to Lexington Drive
Woodland Avenue from Pope Street to Woodland Avenue

July 26 (Saturday)
Middlefield Road between Willow Road and to Santa Margarita Drive

Partial lane closures and traffic impacts are anticipated during the course of work. Notices will be provided to impacted residents prior to construction. City staff will also periodically update this website to inform stakeholders of changes in scope, schedule, or other project milestones.
