Water projects and plans

Emergency water storage/supply well

Urban Water Management Plan

The Urban Water Management Planning Act requires every urban water supplier serving more than 3,000 customers, or providing more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually, to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan every five years.

Water main replacement

The water main replacement project is a recurring project that involves replacing old pipelines that are at the end of their useful life. The City determines locations through maintenance records and as needed to support other major capital projects and development.

Water shortage contingency plan

This plan serves as a flexible framework of planned responses to mitigate future water supply shortages.

Water system master plan

This plan is a comprehensive evaluation of Menlo Park Municipal Water’s water distribution system.

Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) Project

The Automated Meter Infrastructure project is an ongoing project that will digitalize all water meters of Menlo Park Municipal Water customers allowing for hourly water use data.
