The City of Menlo Park launched a new application called Menlo Park Inspection Request, making it easier for customers to schedule building inspections. Contractors and homeowners can use it to request inspections on their building permits with just a few taps on their phone, tablet or computer.

The app allows an inspection to be scheduled for a specific day but not a morning or afternoon inspection. Inspection request for a specific day and morning and afternoon will need to be made through the online permit center. The morning or afternoon assignment for inspection requests made through the app will be available in both the app and the online permit center after 8 a.m. on the day of the inspection.

The Menlo Park Inspection Request app is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Moving more customers to the mobile app to schedule inspections helps to optimize internal operations, as it will dramatically reduce the number of questions and phone calls. This will allow staff to focus more time on permit research and other important work directly serving our customers.
