Burgess pond

Burgess Park is a 9.31-acre park located at 701 Laurel St and is the framework for a campus that includes multiple City facilities. These facilities include the Menlo Park Library, Arrillaga Family Gymnasium, Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, Arrillaga Family Gymnastics Center, Menlo Children’s Center, Burgess Pool, Police Department, City Hall, City Council Chambers, and the duck pond.

The park itself offers athletic fields, a softball field, courts for racquet sports, picnic areas, a skate park, basketball courts, and ample walking paths.

Originally part of the Dibble Hospital Facilities and purchased in 1948, Burgess Park was one of the first city-owned recreation areas in Menlo Park.
