Skate-Park

Burgess Skate Park is a 15,000-square-foot state-of-the-art, year-round skating facility located next to the Arrillaga Family Gymnasium in Burgess Park.

Park rules

  • In accordance with City of Menlo Park Municipal Code section 8-29-030, all park users must wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads at all times.
  • Skateboards and skates ONLY - no bicycles, razors, scooters, or foot traffic.
  • An adult must accompany all children under the age of 14.
  • Park hours are strictly enforced - park is open 1/2 hour before sunrise until 1/2 hour after sunset.
  • No food or drink in the park
  • No glass in or around the skating area
  • Additional obstacles or other materials (ramps/jumps) may not be used at the skate park.
  • Noise levels must be kept to a minimum.
  • All organized events shall have prior written approval from the Library and Community Services Director.
  • The City of Menlo Park reserves the right to close the park or update park rules at any time.
  • Users should report any graffiti or abuse of the park facility immediately by contacting the Menlo Park Police Department at 9-1-1 for emergencies (including in-progress crimes) or at (650) 330-6300 for non-emergencies.

Skateboarding and skating are hazardous recreational activities. Use of the facility may result in death, paralysis, brain damage, concussion, broken bones, or other serious injuries. The City of Menlo Park does not assume any responsibility for injuries. Skate at your own risk.
