National Teen Driver Safety Week

Published on October 20, 2025

Oct. 19–25 is National Teen Driver Safety Week and the Menlo Park Police Department is providing tools to ensure teens stay safe on the road. Talk with your teens about safe driving habits this week. Traffic collisions are the leading cause of death for teens ages 15–18. In 2023, 2,611 people were killed in crashes involving teen drivers and 53% of teen drivers who died were not wearing seatbelts.

Police conduct undercover operation to combat child exploitation

Menlo Park Police conducted an undercover operation seeking to combat child exploitation on today, September 24, 2025. Detectives, in coordination with members of the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center, concluded a multi-day operation with three arrests of individuals who traveled to Menlo Park with the intent to sexually victimize children.
