Equipment and onsite services available at the libraries.

Internet and wi-fi access

Free wireless internet access is available at the Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries. Use of the internet on the libraries’ computers or wireless networks is governed by our Computer and Internet Use Policy. View our Wireless Network FAQs if you are having trouble connecting to the onsite wi-fi.

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries offer wi-fi hotspots for 7-day checkout by adult residents of Menlo Park.

Computers and laptops

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries offer Windows laptops from a self-service kiosk for 3-hour in-library use by adults with a library card.

The Menlo Park Library offers Chromebooks for 7-day checkout to adult residents of Menlo Park with a library card. Chromebooks at the Belle Haven Library are coming soon.

Printing and scanning

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries have document scanners (8.5” x 14” max size) with a double-sided automatic document feeder for use in scanning to a USB drive.

The libraries do not offer printing or copying services except “in cases of extraordinary need.” See our Document Reproduction Policy for more information.

Other equipment

Bike locks are available for single-day use from the front desk at Menlo Park Library or Reception Desk at the Belle Haven Community Campus.

Additional equipment and technology is available upon request from the Menlo Park Library Help Desk, or the desk at the Belle Haven All Ages Library.

Room Rental

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries have limited spaces available for individuals and local non-profit organizations to reserve or rent. See the Library Meeting Room Use Policy for detailed information and eligibility requirements.

The Belle Haven Library has one small Tutor Room (capacity: 4 people) available for adult residents of Menlo Park to reserve on evenings and weekends. The Menlo Park Library does not have study rooms.

To reserve the Belle Haven Tutor Room, Menlo Park Library cardholders must verify eligibility with library staff and setup a reservation account. Once verified, patrons may make reservations online.

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries each have one small conference room (capacity: 10 people) available for local non-profit organizations to rent. If your organization qualifies, contact LCS Supervisor Rose Waldman to begin your booking of a conference room.
