Equipment and onsite services available at the libraries.

Internet and wi-fi access

Free wireless internet access is available at the Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries. Use of the internet on the libraries’ computers or wireless networks is governed by our Computer and Internet Use Policy.

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries offer wi-fi hotspots for 7-day checkout by adult residents of Menlo Park.

Computers and laptops

Desktop computers with internet access are available at Belle Haven Library on a first come, first served basis. Users must log in with a library card or request a 3-hour guest pass from library staff.

Menlo Park Library offers laptops for checkout:

  • Windows laptops are available for 3-hour in-library use by adults with a library card.
  • Chromebooks are available for 7-day checkout to adult residents of Menlo Park with a library card.

Printing and scanning

The Menlo Park libraries have document scanners (8.5” x 14” max size) with a double-sided automatic document feeder for use in scanning to email or a USB drive.

The Menlo Park libraries do not offer printing or copying services except “in cases of extraordinary need.” See our Document Reproduction Policy for more information.

Other equipment

  • Bike locks are available for checkout from the front desk for single-day use while at the library.
  • Portable phone chargers are available for checkout from the Help Desk for 2-hour in-library use.
  • USB CD/DVD drives are available for checkout from the Help Desk for 3-hour in-library use.
  • Computer mice are available from the Help Desk upon request, to be returned to the desk when you are finished using them.
  • Complimentary earbuds and earplugs are available from the Help Desk upon request.
  • Home Energy and Water Saving Toolkits are available for two week checkout from the Help Desk.

Room Rental

The Menlo Park and Belle Haven libraries do not have private study rooms.

Menlo Park Library does not have spaces available for private rental.

Belle Haven Library makes one event room available for local non-profit organizations to rent. See the Meeting Room Use Policy for more information and eligibility requirements.

If your organization qualifies, contact LCS Supervisor Rose Waldman to begin your booking of the Belle Haven Library event room.
