Haven Avenue streetscape improvement

The project spans Haven Avenue, from Marsh Road to the Atherton Channel, and generally includes installation of new sidewalks, landscaping, asphalt resurfacing, and signing and striping within the project corridor. The scope of work also includes a new pedestrian bridge crossing the Atherton Channel and intersection upgrades at Marsh Road (including new signals and curb ramps to enhance pedestrian and vehicular safety). Construction is tentatively scheduled from November 2023 to Fall 2024.

Current status

• Project was awarded to McGuire  and Hester at the June 13 City Council Meeting. McGuire and Hester will start work on November 6, 2023. The first phase of work includes demolition, clearing and grubbing, and installation of concrete sidewalks from Marsh Road to Atherton Channel.
• Thereafter, the contractor will install intersection upgrades at Marsh Road and asphalt resurfacing tentatively from Spring to Fall 2024. The City will periodically update the project website as construction advances to the next milestone.
