This project was identified as a Tier 1 priority in the City’s Transportation Master PlanWith support from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Dumbarton Forward Initiative, the City developed an initial concept design(PDF, 4MB) and a birdseye overview(PDF, 3MB) of the proposed improvements.

The City is working on advancing the project into the design phase of the project, including developing engineering plans and coordinating with Caltrans

The City has also been seeking grant funding for the project, including a recent application to the San Mateo County Transportation Authority for Measure A & W Highway Program grant.
