The Laurel Street water main leak has been resolved and water services restored. Affected city facilities at the Civic Center campus/Burgess Park will open normally, Sat., Oct. 30., if applicable

Laurel Street water main leak forces Civic Center facilities closures

Menlo Park, Calif. — Friday morning, October 29, 2021, a water main leak on Laurel Street near City Hall was detected and continues to affect the water supply to most Civic Center facilities at Burgess Park. As a result, the following facilities will remain closed for the rest of Friday and possibly into the weekend:

  • Arrillaga Family Gymnasium
  • Arrillaga Family Recreation Center
  • City Hall
  • Main Library
  • Menlo Children’s Center

Crews have been on-site all day and continue to work to address the problem and restore water services as soon as possible. The estimated time to repair is unknown and could affect these facilities through the weekend. Please visit beta.menlopark.org/news and the city social media channels for further updates.
