Volunteers needed Feb. 24 for One-Day Homeless Count

The San Mateo County Human Services Agency has rescheduled the 2022 San Mateo County One Day Homeless Count to Feb. 24, 2022, 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. The count of people who are experiencing homelessness helps gather information used to better understand those experiencing homelessness in our community and what interventions they need.

Volunteering for the count

  • Previously registered volunteers do not need to sign up again
  • The County notifies registered volunteers about dates and times for trainings
  • All participants will observe COVID-19 safety protocols, including:
    • Trainings by Zoom
    • Volunteers must wear a face covering at all times
    • Volunteers must pass a COVID-19 symptom screening before in person attendance and upon arrival at their deployment site
