It's National Fix a Leak week! During this time, it's a good reminder to check your home to find and repair water leaks on your property. Which is more important now with the current extreme drought conditions in California. Minor leaks account for more than a trillion gallons of water wasted each year in U.S. homes.

Water is a precious resource that if managed can ensure our natural supply remains available for future generations. The City asks that residents do your part to ensure we are not wasting water by regularly checking your property for water leaks. Please visit the detect a water leak webpage for simple steps that help you to determine if you have a water leak on your property. Efficient water use helps meet current and future needs, results in cost savings, decreases energy use and helps preserve the environment.

To support water conservation efforts Menlo Park Municipal Water partners with Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency to offer water conservation rebates and incentives to its customers. This includes residential self-audit tool kits which assists customers in understanding how much water is used inside their home and where to look for potential leaks.

For more information on the residential self-audit tool kits or other water conservation rebates and incentives please visit the Menlo Park Municipal Water webpage or the BAWSCA website.
