Menlo Park seeks residents to serve on commissions, committees

Do you have any interest in participating in local government? Menlo Park seeks applicants for 17 open seats on several commissions and committees. Advisory body members play an integral role in local government by examining issues of community interest, collecting public input and establishing work plans and projects to support city council goals.

There is no level of expertise required to apply to serve on a committee or commission, just an interest in engaging and supporting the community. Menlo Park residents over the age of 18 are encouraged to apply and must be committed to attending scheduled meetings.

Current vacancies include:

  • Complete Streets Commission – 4
  • Environmental Quality Commission – 4
  • Finance and Audit Committee – 2
  • Housing Commission – 2
  • Library Commission – 2
  • Parks and Recreation Commission – 1
  • Planning Commission – 2

Applications due by 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The term length will vary for each advisory body.
