Coleman and Ringwood Avenues Transportation Study
Published on June 06, 2022
Many people travel on Coleman and Ringwood Avenues every day – to get to work, to attend school, to run errands, and to meet their daily needs. In the past, stakeholders have highlighted concerns about street safety, accessibility and the need for improvements. The County of San Mateo and the City of Menlo Park are partnering on a transportation study of Coleman and Ringwood Avenues. This study will review how people use both corridors and engage stakeholders to understand their transportation needs and vision for each street.
The goal of this study is to identify a conceptual street design developed with community input and engagement for Ringwood and Coleman Avenues that improves transportation, safety, and mobility for all roadway users.
The study will:
- Review existing transportation conditions on both corridors,
- Develop and evaluate potential street designs, and
- Recommend a preferred alternative and future actions.
At every stage of the process, community input will play a critical role in shaping the recommended improvements. Community members can share how they typically travel and safety conditions on the streets with the survey and map tool. Feedback gathered in this survey will be used to guide the development of potential improvements along these corridors.
