All seven Menlo Park advisory bodies seek applications

Residents interested in participating in local government are encouraged to apply by the 5 p.m., Friday, April 7, deadline for any of 16 open seats across several advisory bodies. Advisory bodies are an essential element in local government that serve the community by examining important issues, collecting input from the public, and developing work plans and projects to support city council goals.

Current vacancies include:

  • Complete Streets Commission – 2
  • Environmental Quality Commission – 2
  • Finance and Audit Committee – 5
  • Housing Commission – 1
  • Library Commission – 2
  • Parks and Recreation Commission – 2
  • Planning Commission – 2

All applicants must be 18 or older, a resident of Menlo Park, and committed to attending scheduled meetings. Term length will vary for each advisory body.
