Holiday Recology and street sweeping schedules

Recology will not provide recycling, compost and garbage collection services Christmas Day on Monday, Dec. 25 and New Year’s Day on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. If your regular collection day falls on the holiday, your service will be the Saturday before the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 23 and Saturday, Dec. 30. This schedule change applies only if your regular collection day is Monday.

The City’s street sweeping contractor sweeps all the streets once a week in January, February, November and December. On Monday, Dec. 25, the contractor will not clean the streets in Zones 1, 2 and 3. Those zones have been rescheduled to be swept on Tuesday, Dec. 26 in addition to the streets in Zones 4 and 12. Streets in Zone 5 will be rescheduled for sweeping from Tuesday, Dec. 26 to Wednesday, Dec. 27 in addition to the streets in Zone 6 and 7.

Tuesday, Dec. 26: Zones 1, 2, 3, 4 and 12
Wednesday, Dec. 27: Zones 5, 6 and 7
