On June 11, the Menlo Park City Council adopted a proclamation celebrating June as Pride Month. This June, we recognize the diversity and vibrancy of the LGBTQIA+ community and their contributions to our City.

We also take this month to reflect on the ongoing discrimination, violence, and systemic inequities facing the LGBTQ+ community. Menlo Park condemns all forms of hate and we are committed to ensuring that all residents, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can thrive in our City.

You’re invited to celebrate Pride Month by joining us at Menlo Park Library Tuesday June 18 at 6:30 p.m. for LGBTQ+ San Mateo County: History's Mysteries, a discussion of LGBTQ+ history with Menlo Park Library reference librarian and history columnist for the Bay Area Reporter, Michael Flanagan.
