The Menlo Park Fire District has opened registrations for its March 2025 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Academy. The CERT program provides community members hands-on training in basic disaster preparedness, fire extinguisher usage, disaster medical care, first aid training and search and rescue techniques as well as neighborhood team building.

The course is free. Learn more and register.

Participants in the next Academy will need to attend three classes on March 15, March 29 and April 12 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

You must attend all sessions in order to graduate as a CERT member.  If you need to miss a session, there are options for making it up.

Class size is limited and registration is required. Minimum age to attend is 18 years old.

Menlo Park Fire District also offers additional classes in first aid and disaster preparedness. Learn more by viewing their calendar of trainings.
