Proposed development for the Parkline Project

A study session on the draft development agreement (DA) terms for the Parkline masterplan project will be held at the May 27 City Council meeting.

A DA is a contract between the City and an applicant, authorized by state law, that describes the terms and conditions of a proposed development project. A DA allows an applicant, in this case Lane Partners, to secure vested rights, and the City to secure certain benefits.

The proposed project, located at 201, 301 and 333 Ravenswood Ave. and 555 and 565 Middlefield Road, would redevelop the project site with up to 800 new housing units at a range of affordability levels, new bicycle and pedestrian connections, public open space and new research and development (R&D) and office buildings with no net increase in commercial square footage. SRI’s operations would be consolidated into three existing buildings to remain. The project also includes limited restaurant and retail components that would be open to the public.

The study session provides an opportunity for the City Council and community members to learn more about the proposed DA terms and provide comments. The DA will be reviewed as part of the final project entitlements, anticipated for Planning Commission and City Council hearings in the summer.
