Menlo Park, Calif. — In July 2022, the Menlo Park Police Department Investigations Division received a cybertip from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SV ICAC) reporting the possession and potential distribution of child pornography.

The investigation of the details provided from the cybertip led to Dennis Davis Terry, a 77 year old Menlo Park resident, being identified as a suspect.

This afternoon, Menlo Park Police Detectives contacted Terry and he was taken into custody without incident.  Detectives subsequently served Terry with 3 search warrants and recovered additional items of evidence. Terry was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Main Jail for the charges of 311.11(a) PC – Felony Possession of Obscene Matter.

The Menlo Park Police Department is working diligently to identify other potentially involved persons in this investigation. If you have any additional information that may be relevant to this investigation, please contact Detective Edward Mazon.
