Nationwide Vision Zero poster contest
Published on November 01, 2023
The Mineta Transportation Institute, based out of San Jose State University, is sponsoring a nationwide poster contest for elementary school students. The theme of the posters for this year is "Vision Zero," which focuses on making streets as safe as possible to prevent injuries, collisions and fatalities for pedestrians, bicyclists and all road users. This contest encourages students to channel their creativity while striving to promote safer transportation and streets. The City of Menlo Park is promoting safer bicycling and walking through its Safe Routes to School program and Vision Zero Action Plan.
There are six prizes in total, three for students in grades one–three and three in grades four–six. Instructions on how to participate are available at the contest webpage. The submission deadline is Friday, Dec. 8. Good luck to all participants!
