MPPD partners with Atherton PD for back-to-school safety campaign

As students head back to school, the Menlo Park Police Department is proud to partner with the Atherton Police Department in a joint effort to keep our streets safe for everyone. Together, our Traffic Enforcement Divisions are rolling out a targeted Education and Enforcement Campaign on Wednesday, Aug. 25, focused on:

E-bike safety: Encouraging smart, lawful riding habits, especially among young riders.
Pedestrian protection: Reinforcing safe practices for those walking to school, work or around town.
Motorists passing in bike lanes: Educating drivers on how to safely share the road with cyclists and enforcing proper passing behavior.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to community safety. Whether you're walking, biking or driving, we all have a role to play in creating a safer environment.
