Electronics in recycling bin

RethinkWaste and Recology San Mateo County are teaming up with the City of Menlo Park to encourage residents to properly recycle old electronics. Residents shall place their electronic waste in their trunks and remove other personal items to avoid any accidents. This drive-through event allows residents to remain in their vehicles as the vendor picks up the electronic waste from the trunks.

Accepted items include TVs, computers, printers, monitors, cables/cords, cell phones, MP3 players, DVD players, laptops and more (working or not).

Items that will not be accepted include household appliances like fans, floor heaters, smoke detectors, vacuum cleaners, cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers or household hazardous waste.

This is a first come, first serve event. Appointments are not required. Proof of residency may be required. The event will only be available until the end time, or until the trucks are full or while supplies last.

For more information about how to properly dispose other times, visit the County of San Mateo’s Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Guide.
