International Walk and Roll to School Day is a worldwide event connecting more than 40 countries under one mission, walking and rolling to school! The celebration launched in 1997 and grows in popularity every year! Today the celebration continues across the globe. According to the National Center for Safe Routes to School, parents driving their children to school generate up to a quarter of morning traffic. More cars means more congestion and less safe travel environments. Challenge yourself by picking a day of the week to walk or roll to school! This new habit will benefit your family’s health, safety and the environment near your school and community.
