Due to upcoming construction activities from other agencies, the following intersection traffic signals will experience temporary night time power outages:

  • (San Mateo County project) Sand Hill Road and Northbound I-280 off-ramp: from Monday night (Oct. 7) at 10 p.m. to Tuesday morning (Oct. 8) at 5 a.m.
  • (PG&E project) Valparaiso Avenue and University Drive: from Tuesday night (Oct. 8) at 9 p.m. to Wednesday morning (Oct. 9) at 6 a.m.
  • (PG&E project) Santa Cruz Avenue and University Drive: from Thursday night (Oct. 10) at 9 p.m. to Friday morning (Oct. 11) at 6 a.m.

Please note that in accordance to California Vehicle Code 21800, vehicles approaching an inoperative traffic signal shall treat the intersection as a four-way stop controlled intersection and proceed with caution.

We encourage residents to find alternative routes during these signal shutdowns. We understand this will be an inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
