Linking and event posting policy

Links

The city website may contain links to third-party websites. The linked sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for the contents of any linked site. We provide these links as a convenience only, and a link does not imply endorsement of, sponsorship of, or affiliation with the linked site by the City of Menlo Park. You should make whatever investigation you feel necessary or appropriate before proceeding with any transaction with any of these third parties.

Links to government websites

The city website links to publicly available websites that are government-owned or government sponsored, unless directed not to by the agency that owns the site.

The city website also links to quasi-government agencies and websites created by public sector/private sector partnerships, state and local government sites, and some government-sponsored websites that end in .com, .org or .net.

Links to non-government websites

The city website generally does not link to non-government websites that are not government-owned or government-sponsored, unless these websites provide government information and/or services in a way that is not available on an official government website. The city website provides links to these non-government websites as a public service only.

The City of Menlo Park neither endorses nor guarantees in any way the external organizations, services, advice, or products included in these website links. Furthermore, the City of Menlo Park neither controls nor guarantees the accuracy, relevance, timeliness or completeness of the information contained in websites not operated by the City of Menlo Park.

Event posting

City-run/city-sponsored events

All city-run/city-sponsored events and meetings are posted online as early as possible and located on the citywide calendar page.

Non city-run/city-sponsored events

The City does not post non city-run/city-sponsored events to its website. We may reshare items of community interest on our social media channels or via the weekly digest eNewsletter that goes out to email/text subscribers. Resharing or distribution of community interest items does not constitute an endorsement or sponsorship of the program, event or item.
