Community survey

The community survey serves as a tool to assist the City Council and staff in setting priorities, evaluating community needs and establishing goals to improve service. It is important for the City to know how residents feel about the quality of everything from facilities and programs to events and services. Recently the City has utilized Godbe Research, a California corporation based locally on the Peninsula, to conduct the survey.

While the most recent biennial survey development began in fall 2019, data collection occurred in early January 2020. Godbe Research conducted an internet and telephone survey of adults over 18 years of age, with a subsample of registered voters. The survey lasted approximately 25 minutes and was available in English and Spanish. The final sample size was 847 residents over 18 years of age and the margin of error was +/- 3.31 percent.
