Information for homeowners

As the City receives, reviews, and approved new applications for ADU preapproval, this page will be updated to share the preapproved plan sets.

There are no available ADU plans at this time. Please check back soon or contact Matt Pruter for updates.

Each preapproved plan listing will include:

  • Plan provider/designer contact information
  • Square footage and bedroom count
  • Estimated cost range (if provided by designer)

Thumbnails of the floor plan and elevations will be available for review on this page.

How to use preapproved plans

  1. Review the available information above to find plan options that meet your needs.
  2. Contact the design professional directly for detailed information and pricing.
  3. Submit a site-specific building permit application with the ADU preapproved plans. [link to new “Information for Design Professionals” page below, once created]
  4. Include site-specific plans and documents as required by the Planning and Building Divisions.

Be sure to confirm the design professional's role in submitting the plans and securing the building permit. It is highly advised that you have the design professional or contractor pull the permits instead of pulling the permits as an owner-builder. This keeps the liability for the work with the professional service.
