Safety Element

Why update the Safety Element?

The primary goal of the Safety Element update is to identify how to reduce potential risks of injury, property damage, and economic and social disruptions resulting from natural and human-made hazards.

The element will be updated for consistency with other local documents such as the Climate Action Plan and the County's Multijurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Note: The City has the Open Space/Conservation, Noise and Safety Elements in a combined document. The 2024 update focuses on the Safety Element; the OpenSpace/Conservation and Noise Elements are unchanged.
