Summer Reading Game
Welcome to the Menlo Park Summer Reading Game, where we challenge you to track your reading, discover great books, enjoy community activities, and earn awesome prizes!
The Summer Reading Game is open to all ages; anyone can play and win prizes. The Game runs from June 1 – August 31.
How to participate
- Register or sign in to the Reader Zone app between June 1 – August 31.
- Use program code 631EF to search for the Summer Reading Game and join the reading group for your age range.
- Log your reading progress using the Reader Zone mobile app. Try to meet the goal by August 31!
- Choose your first free book at the library when you sign up, and a second when you complete your reading goal.
Try out these features on the Reader Zone mobile app:
- Manage the whole family’s reading and achievements under one account
- Track books you’ve read in your Book Bank
- Use the in-app timer to keep track of your total minutes read
- Change the language settings to use the app in Spanish

If you would prefer to play along offline, download and print one of our logs. Don’t forget to choose your free book at Menlo Park Library or Belle Haven Library!
Prizes
Everyone who signs up for the Summer Reading Game can choose a free book from the prize carts. Everyone who completes their reading goal by August 31 will win a second book and a ticket to enter a drawing for one of 8 prize bundles. Attend select library events throughout the summer for a chance for more tickets!
