Join us in celebrating the past, present, and future of Black Americans on this day of education, cultural remembrance and the presentation of the Youth Poster Exhibition. Join us as we pay respect to local heroes of the Belle Haven and nearby communities. Hear inspiring words of strength, triumph and resilience. We will wrap up the day with a children’s storytelling show at 2 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Menlo Park proudly supports youth creativity. Students in grades K–12 who live or go to school in Menlo Park are invited to submit their original poster. Participating students will be entered into a random drawing for one of three $100 gift cards sponsored by Menlo Park Library Foundation. Posters and submission forms must be delivered to the Belle Haven Branch Library at 413 Ivy Drive or the Menlo Park Library at 800 Alma St. by 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. Poster boards and art supplies are available at the libraries for students to create their posters. Visit menlopark.gov/events for more details.
