Upcoming construction project at Haven Avenue

The City of Menlo Park contracted with McGuire and Hester to begin construction of roadway and pedestrian improvements at Haven Avenue. The project spans Haven Avenue, from Marsh Road to the Atherton Channel, and generally includes installation of sidewalks, asphalt resurfacing and landscaping. Intersection improvements at Marsh Road (new signals, ramps, and striping) and a pedestrian bridge crossing the Atherton Channel are also included in the scope of work.

The first phase of construction will begin Nov. 6 and entails site preparation, demolition and construction of sidewalks. Thereafter, intersection upgrades and resurfacing are tentatively scheduled from spring to fall 2024.

The City will make best efforts to minimize disturbance during this time, however, businesses and residents should anticipate traffic impacts. McGuire and Hester will implement traffic controls during construction at all times to ensure public safety during operations.
