Upcoming Citywide Slurry Seal Project

As part of Menlo Park's five-year street maintenance program, the City's Public Works department is currently developing construction drawings for a Citywide Slurry Seal Project.

Slurry seals are a surface treatment that prolongs the life of qualifying asphalt roadways. The project, presented to the City Council on Dec. 5, 2023, proposes to slurry seal up to 36 City streets across five districts (contingent upon available funding). Project design will be completed in May with construction tentatively scheduled from July to September 2024.
