As of Sept. 11, a total of 26 dead birds collected in San Mateo County have tested positive for West Nile virus. Residents have reported over 409 birds so far this year, of which 124 were in appropriate condition for testing. No mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile virus yet this year in San Mateo County.
