Tool theft arrest – Community tip leads to recovery of stolen property

Menlo Park, Calif. – On August 21, 2025 at approximately 4:53 a.m., an alert neighbor reported suspicious subjects in the yard of a home under construction in the 1000 block of Ringwood Avenue. Officers quickly responded and located a male adult with a vehicle containing more than $5,000 in recently stolen tools from the property.

Jose Quintanillaguevara, 25 year old of Redwood City, was taken into custody without incident and booked into county jail. A second subject fled the area and was not located.
