The age of electric vehicles is here – half of all new vehicle purchases in San Mateo County are electric – and Peninsula Clean Energy is ready to help you to charge them! Peninsula Clean Energy is announcing $4 million in newly available electric vehicle charging incentives as part of its EV Ready program, available to apartment/condo housing, workplaces and public locations, to install new EV charging stations. Take advantage of these program dollars before they run out.

Substantial rebates are available for the installation of Level 1 or Level 2 receptacles, charging stations, panel upgrades, and more to help property owners get ready for the incoming wave of EVs.

Not sure how to get started? Peninsula Clean Energy is offering free, robust technical assistance to help you scope and design your EV charging installation project. This free service will provide you with various installation options to consider, estimated project costs and how to maximize Peninsula Clean Energy’s incentives, ADA compliance (if relevant), and more. With a couple of clicks, you can also send your project to qualified contractors to obtain quotes and get your chargers installed.

EV Ready incentive applications are now open. Submit your application and secure your funds if you already have a project in mind.

For more information, including program eligibility details and requirements, visit the EV Ready page. For questions, contact Peninsula Clean Energy Program Manager Phillip Kobernick.
