Join the Environmental Justice and Safety Elements Community Workshops

The City of Menlo Park is developing its first Environmental Justice Element and updating the Safety Element of the General Plan, while also implementing the recently certified Housing Element. The City is hosting community workshops in English (May 9) and Spanish (May 2) to gather more input from the public and share information regarding changes made to the draft Environmental Justice and Safety Elements since they were last reviewed in February and June 2023. Following the workshops, the draft Elements will be presented to the Planning Commission and City Council at study sessions for further discussion and consideration. 

Spanish Language Workshop

  • Thursday, May 2 from 6–8 p.m. at the Church of God (567 Hamilton Ave.)
  • Childcare will be provided on-site
  • Dinner will be provided from 5:30–6 p.m.
  • There will be a stipend for attendance

English Language Workshop

  • Thursday, May 9 from 6–8 p.m. at the Church of God (567 Hamilton Ave.)
  • Childcare will be provided on-site
  • Dinner will be provided from 5:30–6 p.m.
  • There will be a stipend for attendance
