As Bay Area workers continue returning to the office, congestion on the road and increased gas prices have made commutes less than ideal. The following are friendly reminders and tips on commuting, whether if you drive or are looking for transit or carpool alternatives.

Commute.org is San Mateo County’s commuting resource, whether you are new or a seasoned veteran. This agency offers shuttles connecting to Caltrain and BART, a Guaranteed Ride Home and Try Transit program, along with rewards and incentives for those looking to take non-car alternatives. With their STAR platform, users can log their non-driving trips to trade in for fun prizes. Additionally to incentivize carpooling, vanpooling or biking, users can earn up to $100. Carpooling and vanpooling in the Bay Area just got easier, as Commute.org recently joined with six other Bay Area agencies in the Merge program to integrate their commuting software so that it is easier to find rides beyond San Mateo County.
