Don't miss the last Safe Routes to School Task Force meeting of the school year will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 9 a.m. Redwood City Bike to the Library event is happening on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Menlo Park Safe Routes to School Task Force meeting

Thursday, June 6 from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

The Safe Routes to School Task Force meets quarterly and convenes representatives from the four school districts and schools, Menlo Park and Atherton police departments, City and County public works departments, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, San Mateo County Office of Education, local organizations and parents to discuss challenges around walking and biking to school and share ideas and opportunities for the Safe Routes to School program. Task Force meetings are open to the public. This will be the last meeting of the school year. The group will meet virtually on Zoom Thursday, June 6 from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Redwood City Bike to the Library

Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Bike to the Library Day is all about encouraging taking an active mode of transportation while spotlighting a variety of programs and summer learning opportunities. Families will enjoy an afternoon packed with fun activities, informative community resource booths and even a drawing with prizes. Among the activities, you can look forward to a bike rodeo, a bike blender, engaging games, a bike repair station, a live DJ and storytime for the kids. This event will take place on June 8 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Redwood City Public Library. It’s a great way to connect with the community and encourage families to stay active this summer.
