US-101 will experience lane closures for nine weekends from June to October 2024.

The project will repair, extend, and optimize the transportation system and ride quality by rehabilitating the freeway pavement, upgrading the median barrier, replacing loop detectors throughout the mainline, installing rumble strips, signs and striping within the project limits. The tentative overall construction is scheduled from summer 2024 to summer 2025.

The first weekend closure is tentatively scheduled for June 28. Weekend closures will generally start from late Friday night to Monday morning at approximately 5 a.m. Other work will be completed during nights in between these weekend closures.
