Published on April 21, 2025
May is National Bike Month! This month-long celebration showcases the many benefits of bicycling including increased exercise, lessened congestion, reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improved air quality. May is a great time to commit to biking more to your daily destinations or try biking for the first time.
The City of Menlo Park is partnering with Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition to celebrate Bike to Wherever Days, from May 15 – 17. Bike to Wherever Days encourages people to ride their bikes to their daily destinations such as work, errands, recreation, visiting friends and family and your other daily needs.
Thursday, May 15 is Bike to Work Day. To celebrate, the City of Menlo Park will be hosting five energizer stations with snacks, water, education and bicycling accessories to promote and encourage people biking. The City of Menlo Park will be hosting energizer stations at the Caltrain Northbound Station, Caltrain Southbound Station, Ringwood Avenue Bike Bridge, Willow Place Bike Bridge and San Mateo Bike Bridge from 7 – 10 a.m., Thursday, May 15.
If you cannot make it to these locations, check out other energizer stations! Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and partner agencies and organizations are hosting energizer stations throughout the Bay Area. Fill out the Pledge to Ride stating you will ride a bike sometime in May to receive a free canvas Bike to Wherever Day bag!
