A public hearing has been scheduled before the City Council of the City of Menlo Park, California to review and consider call-ups by City Councilmembers, pursuant to MPCC Section 16.86.025, of the Planning Commission’s actions on the following items:
Use Permit/City of Menlo Park/100 Terminal Avenue:
Consider a call-up by a City Councilmember of the Planning Commission’s decision to deny a use permit to exceed the maximum nighttime noise limit of 50 dBA, measured at residential property lines, to accommodate electric pool heating equipment for the Menlo Park Community Campus located at 100 Terminal Avenue in the P-F (Public Facilities) zoning district.
Use Permit and Architectural Control/Jamie D’Alessandro/961 El Camino Real:
Consider a call-up by a City Councilmember of the Planning Commission’s decision to approve a use permit for live entertainment, on-site consumption of alcohol, and outdoor seating until 2 a.m. for the proposed restaurant use and architectural control for exterior and interior modifications to the existing commercial building, including modifications to the storefront along the El Camino Real frontage and a new deck and trellis area in the rear of the building to accommodate outdoor dining for the proposed restaurant. The proposed project would not increase the gross floor area of the building. The existing building is located, in the SP-ECR/D (El Camino Real/Downtown Specific Plan) zoning district.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that said City Council will hold two public hearings on these items via hybrid meeting (virtual and in Menlo Park City Council Chambers located at 751 Laurel St., Menlo Park, California, on May 23, 2023 beginning at 6 p.m. or as near as possible thereafter, at which time and place interested persons may appear and be heard thereon. If you challenge this item in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public meeting described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Menlo Park at, or before, the public meeting. Written correspondence is typically considered a public record and may be attached to staff reports, which are posted on the city website
