Upcoming road night work and lane closures

Starting Sunday, May 19, crews began construction of an upgraded water line along O'Brien Drive between Willow Road and Adams Drive. Work will include installation of new water main, service connections, and roadway paving. Construction is being undertaken by Tarlton Properties as a condition of the approved 1350 Adams Court development project and will provide improved fire safety within the Life Sciences zoning district. The improvements will be owned by Menlo Park Municipal Water.

Due to installation of new water line across the intersection of Willow Road at O'Brien Drive, the project is required to perform nighttime construction activities between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. and will include temporary lane closures and traffic control measures to ensure project safety. The night work began on May 19 and is expected to last approximately 3 weeks, with work occurring Sunday night through Thursday night. Additional daytime construction activities and traffic control measures will occur along O'Brien Drive through late 2024.
