Your feedback is requested: Middle Avenue buffered bike lanes pilot

In February 2023, the Menlo Park City Council approved the implementation of no parking zones on both sides of Middle Avenue for the installation of buffered bicycle lanes as a pilot project. The pilot, including changes to the Nealon Park frontage parking configuration, was installed in October 2023. Your feedback will help guide design decisions for the permanent bike lane implementation. Share your input by completing our ongoing online survey by April 5 and attending our upcoming public meetings:

• March 28: In-person community feedback meeting, 6:30 p.m. at Nealon Park tennis courts, 800 Middle Avenue.
• April 10: Complete Streets Commission meeting, 6:30 p.m. - recommendation of permanent bike lanes configuration.
• May 7: City Council meeting, 6 p.m. - approval of permanent bike lanes configuration.

The City is also in the process of collecting transportation data (i.e., volume, speed, parking occupancy) and will present results during the meetings.
